Your voice, a light,
I can see your soul smiling through it
—and soon in those around you,
breaking in literal smiles,
uncontained,
like blooms that won’t be deferred when sunshine calls to them.
With this much beauty,
    it seems there is enough to make us all beautiful.
With this much love,
    it seems we can afford to love one another all.
Your voice is more than a call to prayer.
