Piss on old gods that are blind to suffering children,
sorting them by color in bins and borders.
Piss on past fears that you were told to worship.
Piss on reverence
—it is just obedience in disguise.
Bury the Dead that demand it.
Bury the Old
that invented currencies other than kindness.
Die for the Young
that will not know you or revere you.
Let that sacrifice be the currency of your worth.
There is time yet.
Make something of yourself beyond a chaperon of wealth
between your fathers and your sons.
Break the cycle of men before it breaks the world.
Live. Love. Fuck. Dream. Read. Write. Dance.
End yourself like a candle that lights others
—bright minds that have no use for shadows.
Abandon all loyalty that is disloyal to humanity.
Abandon all temples that ask for money.
Abandon all worship that says
you
are born special.
You are not.
Earn your place by the work you do for the Broken.
What did you give to those who have nothing left but their
humanity?
What did you sacrifice of yourself for no return, no recognition, no
afterlife?
If you are special, it will be visible only to but one human at a
time.
Assume the quiet stranger you meet is special, invisible to you.
Do not seek the reward of men and gods
—they are unworthy of you.
Celebrate your defiance.
Dance!
Defying gravity is practice for defying the laws of men.
Neither is inescapable.
To live is to defy.
We are the opposition to the vagaries of death.
And love is the only anthem we shall sing to one another.
